Cora Lee Smith Vanhoy, 90, of Florence, SC, passed away
Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence,
SC. A graveside service will be held
Monday, March 25th, 2019 at 2:00PM at Highland Baptist Church
Cemetery with Pastor Doland Humphries officiating.
Cora was born to the late Allen P. Smith and Kate Richardson
Smith on December 13th, 1928 in Stanly County, NC. She was a long time employee of Belk where
she retired. She was a charter member at
Highland Baptist Church. She enjoyed
birds, gardening, her family, and her Lord and Savior.
Cora is preceded in death by her late husband Alton (Doc) Vanhoy and sister Lucille Beane (living Don), She is survived by son Donald Hugh Vanhoy (Phyllis) of New London, daughter Teresa Lee Vanhoy (Florence, SC), sisters; Linda Brodt (New London) Gladys Huneycutt (Statesville) Earlene (Pat) Bloxsom (Virginia Beach), brothers; Bill (Sylvia) Smith of Albemarle, and Ray (Della) Smith (Badin), grandchildren; Trena Furr (Keith), Candace Dunn (Mark), Heather Loveless (Jackie), Stacey Pierce (John), great grandchildren; Nicholas, Kelee, Cassadie, Alec, Caleb, Ashlee, Zachery, Rhealend, Riley, Jeremiah, Eyesley, Layne, Colby, Kohl, Karhys, Kahner, great-greatgrandchildren Charlee, Joselyn, Baby Girl Morton, Vandor, and numerous nieces and nephews.?
