Cody Elwood Gouge's Obituary
Cody Elwood Gouge, 31, of Albemarle passed on away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1-3PM on Sunday, April 10, 2020 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle. Funeral service to follow at 3PM in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care chapel officiated by Rev. BJ Bowers with Military honors to follow.
Cody was born February 1, 1991 in Stanly County. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during Operation Enduring Freedom. During his spare time, Cody enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on cars. Cody attended Silver Springs Baptist Church. He loved his many cats and spending time with his family.
Cody is survived by his mother Sandy Burleson Gouge and fiancé (Manny Duarte) of Oakboro; sister: Gretchen Poplin and husband (Derrick) of Mt. Gilead; brother: Joshua Gouge and fiancée (Beth) of Albemarle; nieces: Sophia Gouge and Ava Brewer; close family friend: Rick Poplin of Mt. Gilead.
