Clyde Raymond Pickler Sr.'s Obituary
Clyde Raymond Pickler, Sr. 86, of Shallote, NC, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 in the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. A private graveside service was held.
Mr. Pickler was born July 22, 1935 in Stanly County, NC to the late John Raymond Pickler and Berta Beatrice Burris Pickler. He was the former owner and operator of Clyde R. Pickler Electric Company. He attended Jennie’s Branch Baptist Church in Ocean Isle, NC. Clyde was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He loved the ocean, fishing on his boat and playing his guitar with the local groups the “Oak Island Boys and Girls” and “Highway 17 South”.
Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Drucilla Drye Pickler. He is survived by two daughters, Anita Pickler Barbee (Curtis) of Oakboro, NC and Cathy Pickler Gordon (Van) of Locust, NC; a sister, Ruby Ellen Love of Stanfield, NC; special friend, Gracie Roberts of Calabash, NC; ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Brandi, Lacey, Jerod, Kellie, Courtney, Eric, Kristin and Emily, thirteen great-grandchildren, Chase, Isiah, Devin, Taryn, Kreed, Dax, Adelyn, Walker, Faida, Aiden, Knox, Waylon and Wyatt. Mr. Pickler was also preceded in death by a son, Clyde R. Pickler, Jr. and grandson, Stuart Nicholes.
