Clifford Paul Reed Jr.'s Obituary
Clifford Paul Reed, Jr., 61, of Albemarle, passed away on September 5, 2023 at his home. His funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday September 8, 2023 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Albemarle with Pastor Paul Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 12 until 1:45 PM.
Born October 10, 1961 in Arlington, VA, he was the son of the late Clifford Paul Reed Sr. and Mary Fisher (Phil) of Pinehurst, NC. He was a very talented and driven entrepreneur and was the sole owner of White Rock Truss in Rose Hill, VA. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, papa, and son who loved his family fiercely. He loved life to the fullest. He always worked hard and played even harder. No one could love dogs more than Paul. He was never without his bulldog companion Maggie. He loved that she made others smile. His hometown friends and football memories brought him great joy and pride. Paul never met a stranger. He always saw the potential in others and without hesitation, generously supported many in finding joy and success.
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife Cynthia Ann Close Reed of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Jeremy Lawhone (April) of Kearneyville, WV and Jonathan Reed of Martinsburg, WV, three daughters Sarah Bower (Chris) of Jackson Springs, NC, Kristen Reed of Bennettsville, SC and Ashley Sosa (Jim) of Gloucester, VA, sister Pam Parker of Asheboro, NC, grandchildren Andrew Bower, Colton Reed, Amelia Sosa, Charlie Sosa, Michael Taylor, Braxton Taylor, and Chase Bennett, and special K-9 companion Maggie.
Honorary pall bearers will be, Billy Elchik, Drew Vaughn, Chris Howard, Steven Later and Gary Hindman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the humane society or canine rescue of your choice”.
