Christopher Anthony Carter's Obituary
Christopher Anthony Carter, 61, of York, SC passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 after five years of battling cancer.? A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 3 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Loflin officiating.? Burial will follow in the New London Cemetery.? The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 until 3 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle, prior to the service.?
Born May 29, 1957 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of
the late James Paul Carter and Cleo Mae Newport Carter. Mr. Carter was a retired millwright and was
of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed
restoring Volkswagon vans, cooking, reading and being outdoors. Mr. Carter was known for his vast record
collection and love of music.
Mr. Carter is survived by his son Christopher Bryon Carter
of New London, granddaughter Cleo Jane Carter of New London, girlfriend Karen
Shoup of York, SC, and brothers James David Carter of GA and Richard Milo
Carter and wife Jane Howard Carter of North Myrtle Beach, SC. A son Jonathan Scott Carter and a brother
Paul Phillip Carter preceded him in death.

Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave. Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
