Christine Yow's Obituary
Christine Helms Yow, 80, of Monroe passed away on February 6, 2024 in the Union County Hospice House. Her funeral service will be at 12 Noon on February 9, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Russell McWhorter and Pastor "Dac" Croasman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Helms Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 AM until 12 Noon, prior to the hour of the service.
Born December 11, 1943 in Union County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clayton Helms and Shirley Elizabeth Henley Helms. She was a retired sewing machine operator with Reliable Buff.
Mrs. Yow was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Yow. Survivors include sons Jeff Yow (Kim) of Monroe and Brian Yow of Mt. Pleasant, and daughters Pam McWhorter (Russell) of Monroe and Lisa Mills (Jeff) of Midland, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers Butch Helms, Paul Helms, and Edward Helms.
