Charles Alton Lentz's Obituary
Charles Alton Roger Lentz, 83, of New London, NC, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 15, 2021. His graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday May 22, 2021 at Stanly Garden of Memory with Pastor Nina Miller officiating.
Mr. Lentz was born November 16, 1937 in Stanly County, NC to the late Clarence B. Lentz and Virginia Eller McIntyre Lentz. Alton graduated from New London High School in 1956 and was a retired textile supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, cutting and splitting firewood and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Alton is survived by his wife, Ruby Aliene Lefler Lentz of the home for 65 years. He is also survived by two sons, Robin Derek Lentz and Clarence Roger Lentz (Kathleen) and a daughter, Tyler Renee Lentz Brummitt (Barry) all of New London, NC; four grandchildren, Cooper Lentz, Colbie Lentz, Averie Brummitt and Alyssa Brummitt. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Eual Lentz and John Wayne Lentz.
