Charles W. Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Charles W. Johnson, age 75, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017, at CMC-Union.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Reverend Danny Johnson and Reverend Ray Laney. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Charlie was born on November 2, 1941, in Lancaster, South Carolina, a son of the late Thomas Jack Johnson and the late Annie Sowell Johnson.
In his earlier years he was a horticulturist with North Carolina Farms.
Survivors include his wife Debra Kay Johnson of Monroe, NC; his two daughters Ann Airington and Donna Newell (Bill) all of Monroe, NC; his six sons Tommy Johnson of Lancaster, SC, Jamie Johnson (Christina) of Monroe, NC, Charles "Shorty" Johnson (fiancée Monica) of Monroe, NC, Stanley Johnson of Monroe, NC, Steven Johnson (Kim) of Richburg, SC and Junior Moser of Lufkin, TX; there are sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017, at Davis Funeral Home.
