Words are hard to say, when you know a brother like my Brother Gordon. When l came to the Albemarle congregation he was one of many who welcomed me and made me feel at home. I send my prayers to you and your family Sister Gordon, please call me for comfort.
You and your wife have been great tenants in our house. May God comfort each of you who loved Bill as you grieve his death.
First of all our condolences to Betty and the family of Bill Gordon. We had some great times together and many of them had to do with food. When I moved to Albemarle in June of 2019 is when I meet Bill for the first time at the Kingdom Hall meeting for service. While out in service he told me about an event he had planned a together and I told I was in. My friend on the event day had 37 slabs of ribs on the grill that day in September and I cooked fish. It was an awesome event and we always chuckled about. I'm going to miss my dear friend and fishing mate.
Brother Gordon volunteered to take on the roll as my spiritual dad because he said he was the only one that could keep my mouth in check. I value every single moment spent with him and Betty. I took pride in being able to make him laugh out loud. I will miss him with every fiber of my being and look so forward to seeing him in the resurrection where he can meet my parents and see where I got this sense of humor that kept him laughing.
