Charles Edward Gessner's Obituary
Charles Edward Gessner, 67, of Monroe passed away on December 17, 2021 in his home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 PM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
Born January 15, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Fredrick Herman Gessner Sr. and Lucille Williams Gessner. He was a self-employed carpenter. He loved fishing and hunting, and he was a shooting enthusiast. He enjoyed being outdoors and also playing his guitar.
Mr. Gessner is survived by his wife Julie Cook Gessner of the home, sisters Kay Austin (James) of Monroe and Nancy Hines (Dan) of Indian Trail, sister-in-law Pam Gessner of Monroe, and brother-in-law Randy Cook of Monroe as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews and Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Sandra Gessner Cook brother Fred Gessner Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation, 130 Mocksville Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144.
