Catherine Mae Mills Veatch's Obituary
Catherine Mae Mills Veatch, 92, of Albemarle passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 in her home. Her funeral service will be 3 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Union Chapel Methodist Church with Pastor Monty Clark and Pastor Jay Weemhoff officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:45 at the church prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at Baldwin Memorial Gardens in Milledgeville, GA conducted by Moore’s Funeral Home of Milledgeville.
Born October 8, 1932 in Washington County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Fincher Homer Mills and Evelyn Mills Mills. She retired as the Chief Financial Officer at Baldwin County Hospital in Milledgeville, GA. She was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church.
Mrs. Veatch was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Veatch in 2021. She is survived by a son Dr. Philip D. Veatch, MD and wife Nancy of Albemarle and daughter Vickie Lynn Veatch of Albemarle, five grandchildren Jennifer Allen (Jeremy), Karen Stone (Patrick), Jeremy Veatch (Christina), Michael Veatch (Amber), and Emily Shockley (Bryce), and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vashti Lyster and Helen West.
