Carrie Collier Whitley's Obituary
Carrie Collier Whitley, 70, of Albemarle passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral will be at 2 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at West Stanly Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Willis and Rev. Warren Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born August 14, 1952 in Bermuda, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Collier and Sarah Ledbetter Collier. She was a faithful and dedicated member of West Stanly Baptist Church and was office manager of her family's Masonry business. Mrs. Whitley loved everyone, especially her family.
Mrs. Whitley is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gerald R. Whitley of the home. Other survivors include children Susan Whitley Davisson (Jim) of Locust and Two Whitley (Vicky) of Albemarle, grandchildren Ashley Lamonds (Tony), Mackenzie Solorio (Diego), Coralayne Henneman (Hayden), Three Whitley (Hailey), Allison Armstrong, Collin Davisson, Gavin Davisson, Shawn Doby, Katie Doby, and ten great-grandchildren, Bailee, Madison, Colton, Isabella, Aria, Penelope, Lawson, Urijah, Paisley and Evelyn.
The family of Mrs. Whitley wishes to express their thanks to Hospice of Stanly County for their compassionate care they have given to Mrs. Whitley.
