Carolyn Florence Hopkins' Obituary
Carolyn Florence Hopkins of Greensboro, NC, formally of
Albemarle passed away peacefully at Beacon Hospice House after several years of
declining health. The past five years she was cared for by her daughters in
Greensboro, Tracy and Kathryn. Tracy dedicated her time to the caring of her
mother faithfully. Kathyrn played an important roll in the care of her mother
as well, making sure that she was taken to doctor?s appointments and dialysis
weekly. They were saints to their mother.
Carolyn was born October 27, 1937 in Atlanta, GA., and was
the daughter of the late Lottie D. and James S. Florence. She was an active
member of Grace Baptist Church as long as her health allowed.
Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her husband Larry E.
Hopkins. She is survived by three daughters Tracy Hopkins, Kathryn Miller
(Cliff) of Greensboro and Jackie Mabry (Mark) of Albemarle; four grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
