Carole Thomas' Obituary
Mrs. Carole Griffin Thomas, age 66, of Wingate NC, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at CMC-Main, Charlotte, NC. A native of Union County, she was born on December 29, 1948, a daughter of the late G.B. Griffin and Thomas E. and Billie Kate Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Faulkenbury and a sister, Phyllis Cantrell. Carole was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, officiated by Reverend Jerry W. McCoy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Sunday, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Griffin Family Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Mark E. Thomas and wife Stephanie of Marion, NC and James Eric Thomas and wife Trecia of Monroe, NC., Also surviving are two granddaughters, Melissa Helms and husband Chris of Monroe, NC and Miranda Dunn and husband C.J. of Clarksville, Tennessee: three grandsons Mark Thomas of Ft. Carson, Colorado, Seth Thomas and Trey Thomas both of Monroe, NC.
Additional survivors include two great grandchildren: Caroline Helms and Nathan Helms both of Monroe, NC.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
