Carol Palmer Smith, 75, of Albemarle passed away Thursday,
December 27, 2018 in CHS-Northeast. A
memorial service to honor her life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 5,
2019 at Charity Baptist Church with her son, Pastor Les Lanier officiating. Inurnment will be Monday, January 7, 2019 at
Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born September 20, 1943 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Troy Palmer and Rachel Barnhardt Palmer.? Mrs. Smith attended Charity Baptist Church and retired from Alliance Medical as a CNA.? She loved her cats Sophie, Tabby, and Joey and she enjoyed watching Animal Planet and doing word puzzles.?
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Wayne
Smith. Survivors include son Pastor Les
Lanier and wife Teresa of Norwood, sister Tajuana Palmer Johnson of Albemarle,
grandchildren Amanda Lanier Vanderburg and Derek Lanier, 5 great-grandchildren
and 2 nephews Jeffrey and Daniel Helms.
