Carol Ivey's Obituary
Mrs. Carol McManus Ivey, age 70, of Polkton, passed away on Monday (June 16, 2014) at Carolinas Medical Center - Union.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Mark Swaringen.
Mrs. Ivey was born on February 28, 1944, in Union County, NC, a daughter of Glennie Mullis McManus and the late James Adams McManus. She was a retired housekeeper for Economy Inn.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Helms, two brothers, Jay Vann McManus, Steve McManus, and a sister, Sue Starnes.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Ivey of the home; her mother, Glennie McManus of Monroe; three daughters, Gina Long of Pineville, Angie Harrell of Unionville, Nikki Helms and husband, Mark, of Monroe; two step-sons, Chris Ivey of Polkton, Lee Ivey of Albemarle; three step-daughters, Angela McCray and husband, Robert of Fayetteville, Amanda Rose Hunt and husband, James, of Fairmont, Ann Ivey of Fairmont; one brother, Don McManus of Wadesboro. There are nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service.
