Carlos Valentin's Obituary
Mr. Carlos Valentin, age 84, of Monroe, NC, passed away on January 19, 2016 at Novant Hospital, Matthews, NC.
Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Michael Flynn.
Mr. Valentin was born on March 14, 1932 to the late Celso and Marcelina Rivera Valentin and was a retired Credit Manager for General Motors. He was a Korean Purple Heart recipient and a US Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Virgilio Valentin Rivera; and his sister Diana Valentin Rivera.
Survivors include his wife Noemi Valentin of Monroe, NC; his three sons Carlos Valentin Gonzalez (Carolina) of Tyler, TX, Carlos Valentin Morales (Gita) of Monroe, NC,, and Virgilio Valentin Ruiz (Elsa) of Puerto Rico; his daughter Irmarie V. Casaine (Frank) of Havre d'grace, MD; and his brother Miguel Valentin Rivera (Yolanda) of Puerto Rico; in addition there are five grandchildren.
