Carl Lee Riggins' Obituary
Carl Lee Riggins, 46, of Albemarle, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at his residence on East North Street.
Born on April 3, 1979, in Patchogue, New York, Carl was a son of loving roots and strong family ties. He later made Albemarle his home and graduated from Albemarle High School in 1996. Following graduation, Carl entered the workforce, where he dedicated many years as a food service employee.
Carl will be remembered for his love of sports, his enjoyment of spending time with friends, and the deep affection he had for his family. His presence brought comfort and familiarity to those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
He is lovingly remembered by his Mother Donna Riggins and Father Adolph Shepherd Of Albemarle, his brother, Melvin Riggins of Jacksonville, Florida; his spouse, Linda Riggins; his sisters, Ophelia Riggins of Badin, North Carolina, Paula Riggins of Albemarle, North Carolina, and Raechel Taylor of Locust, North Carolina, and her husband, H. Eugene Taylor. He is also survived by his aunts, Cynthia Samedy of Albemarle, North Carolina, Therese Hunter of Spring Hill, Florida, and her husband, Jerry Hunter; his uncle, Jessie Shepherd of Union Springs, Alabama, and his wife, Lorease Shepherd; Valerie Shepherd of Douglasville, Georgia; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held at Stanly Funeral and Cremation, 1835 Badin Road, Albemarle, North Carolina, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, officiated by Pastor Charles Barrino. Burial will take place at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle, North Carolina.
A repast will be held at St. Delight Church, 520 Wall Street, Albemarle, North Carolina, immediately following the burial.
