As my own father passed away over 40 years ago, Ned became "my father" and was an inspirational influence on me. In particular I learned from him a lot about power tools used for garden/yard work - for example I had never used a chain saw before and he showed me how to set it up and use it - although he nearly lost his leg as he let me loose with it....! More recently, I have spent a lot of time with him, caring for him and taking him to doctors office visits etc., and have been amazed at how much he was adored he was by everyone we met/encountered; also by how many people we met either knew him or were related to him..! I was also inspired by his deep faith and love, and I'll never forget his smile and genuine gratitude for all that we were doing for him. Having seen how much he has suffered with his various health issues, in recent years, I am grateful that he is finally found relief from his pain/discomfort - I love you Papa - I expect that you are resting in peace with your Lord. God Bless You. And thank you for your love and support to me and Lisa, and your grand-daughters, Catherine and Caroline. John Gadsby - son-in-law.
