Kenny, I know it is hard to lose a dad as I have had to deal with this in the past myself. While your dad seemed to have been a great person you are the one who is suffering the loss. Know that you are not alone and that God will always be with you to help comfort you. You also know that you have many friends who will keep you in their prayers. Hope to see you in the future back in Guatemala
Our community has lost a great leader and fine citizen. Our condolences, prayers and best wishes to the Hill family. Having lived a long life of service and commitment to Stanly County, Buck was a wonderful role model. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know him and to work with him throughout the years.
I was honored to know Buck and we have lost a real gentleman and civic leader. My condolences to the family.
I wish to express my condolences to the Hill family . I left Albemarle 50 years ago but returned often to visit my parents . My father John Birch taught the Saints class in those days so I have fond memories of being around Buck and such other fine men. . I am so proud to call Albermarle my boyhood home and to have such remembrances of fine men like Buck Hill
Buck was a true Southern Gentleman. From the time I first met him he was always smiling and friendly. He helped me so much when my daddy died; from rushing to the house to help me when I called him. He was right there from the first phone call, to the hospital where be stayed with us during the long hours of waiting, to showing up at the funeral home when the arrangements were made, making sure we had food to eat, to after the burial and on into the future as I dealt with bank accounts and estate. I will never forget the special section of the chapel that was nothing but Home Savings Bank employees with Buck sitting at the front. That meant so much to me. They definitely threw away the mold when Buck was born. He will be greatly missed. Praying for all of the family.
I have known Buck for close to forty years. In all of the times I have been around him his demeanor never changed. His smile contagious smile and laugh always made you feel comfortable being aroun him. He will always be remembered as being a compassionate, humble man who wanted to help people in any way possibe. Some of my greatest memories are thr times we had fish fry's at his barn with the bank board of directors. He has been an inspiration to me and Iwill greatly miss him His family can have comfort in knowing his legacy will be remembered for many years. My prayers are with the family in this difficult time.
We met Buck at Ocean Isle Beach and knew immediately he was a good man. He was a kind and thoughtful person.SandDwellers was lucky to have Buck as an owner. He was the first to volunteer when something needed to be done.He will be grestly missed. Our love and prayers are with all of you.God bless you and keep you in the palm of His hands.
Albemarle has lost a great man. My prayers are with you Peggy, Kenny, Timmy and all of the family. Hang on to those really good memories.
Buck was a dear friend to many. He was a pleasure to be around. My husband and I spent many hours and miles riding horses with Buck. My daughter, 4 yrs. old at the time always rode with us on her pony, many times she would lang behind and I would look back and see her riding next to Buck, They would stay side by side all day long...he would take pictures of her and give to me regularly. We enjoyed him every time we were around him. I know my daughter loved him, as we all did. You are in our thoughts and prayers, may the Lord hold tight to you all and comfort you. Buck will be missed by all who knew him.
