Buford Simpson's Obituary
Mr. Buford Simpson, age 73, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Road, Monroe, NC, 28110, officiated by Reverend Don Thompson, Reverend Larry Harrison and Reverend Frank Crump. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Simpson was born on June 21, 1943, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late J.V. Simpson and Easter Hinson Simpson. He was a retired self-employed upholster.
Survivors include his wife Linda "Lynn" Crump Simpson of Monroe, NC; his son Dale Simpson of Monroe, NC; his daughter Patti Holmes Wooten (Phil) of Monroe, NC; his grandchildren Hailee Holmes and Kyle Holmes both of Monroe, NC; and his brothers Reverend Joe Lee Kiker (Iris) and Raeford Simpson (Diane) all of Monroe, NC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday Evening, June 21, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Love Baptist Church or to Hospice of Union County 700 West Roosevelt Boulevard; Monroe, NC 28110.
