Mrs. Brenda Faye Smith, age 59, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017.
A gathering of friends to celebrate her life will be held 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
Mrs. Smith was born on January 29, 1957, in Union County, a daughter of the late Gazeway Moree and Elsie Mullis Moree.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Smith, and her brother Jerry Moree.
She was a nurse with Hospice of Union County.
Survivors include her two daughters Brandy Smith of Monroe, NC and Ashley Smith of Charlotte, NC: her son Bryan Smith of Monroe, NC; her son-in-law Kevin Luhes; her two brothers Eddie Moree and Ronnie Moree both of Monroe, NC; her two sister-in-laws Carol Moree and Joann Moree; her three granddogs Marleigh "Butter" Smith, Walter Luhes, and Toodles Smith.
