Brenda Thrift Lea's Obituary
Brenda Thrift Lea passed away at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center on September 5th at the age of 81. Brenda is predeceased by Robert (Bob), her loving husband for more than 40 years. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted family, son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Tonya Lea of Richfield, NC, daughter and son-in-law Rene and Scott Galloway of Titusville, FL, sister Kay Sullivan of Naperville, IL, grandchildren Jacob Lea, Kassia Lea, Bryson Galloway, Jackson Galloway and great grandson Jacen Lowder.
Brenda was born in Shelby, NC on January 27th 1941. She was an active member of Holland Park Church in Simpsonville, SC for many years. Serving as both Sunday School teacher and Life Group host. She was a great cook, well known for her vegetable soup, brownies, and apple butter.
Brenda had a servant's heart and appreciated any opportunity to help others. Although small in statue, her spirit and love for God, her family, and friends were without limits. A celebration of life will be held at Holland Park Church in Simpsonville SC, on September 17th at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Brenda's name to Holland Park Church.
