Bobby Perry Blake,'s Obituary
Bobby Perry Blake, Sr., 86, of 333 Snotherly Street, Albemarle, died at 11:35 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
His Celebration of Life service will be at 2?p.m. on Sunday, May 7 at First Lutheran Church in Albemarle. The Reverend Louise Hilbert will officiate.
Born on October 2, 1930 in New London, he was the son of the late Earnest Edgar and Effie Mae Perry Blake. During his long and productive work life, he worked as a supervisor at a cotton mill, worked as a car salesman at Spivey?s Used Cars in Albemarle, owned and managed an antique/flea market store, and worked in construction for many years.
He was preceded in death by his loving first wife Faye, his son Bobby Perry Blake, Jr., his sister Lucille Morgan, his sister Jewel Blake Smith, and his brothers Reece and Leon Blake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, of the home; a son Jeff P. Blake (Phyllis); daughters Reba Burris (Bryan) and Catherine Hannah Blake-Harris; grandsons Greg Blake (Rebecca), Jeremy Blake (Pam), Chad Little (Rebecca), and Bryan Blake (Ashley); granddaughters Brittnie Blake and Shelly Burris; great-grandsons Jake Blake, Justin Blake, Chance Blake, Drew Little, Ayden Blake, Brantley Blake, and Carter Blake; great-granddaughters Jordan Blake and Laney Little; a brother Joe Blake (Evelyn); and stepsons David (Leigh Anne) and James Monroe (Hanni) and their children, Hadley and Andrew.
Memorial donations in memory of Bob can be made to Hospice of Stanly County or the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.
