Billy Joe Ponder, Jr.'s Obituary
Billy Joe Ponder Jr, 51, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Southgate, Michigan. He was born April 2, 1965 in Mount Clemens MI, son to Billy Joe & Loretta Ponder of Monroe, NC. In addition to his parents, Billy Jr. is survived by two sisters; Karen Hoffman, of Greensboro, and Kathryn Saffores, husband Skip, of Marshville, nieces and nephews; Sommer Belk, husband Matt, Casey Smith, wife Meagan, Cameron Hoffman, and Katie Hoffman; great-nieces; Shelby Belk, Maeley Belk, and Saddie Belk; and great-nephew Crewson Smith. Billy Jr was a long distance truck driver most of his life. He began driving locally a few years ago when he suffered a massive heart attack.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 5300 Nesbit Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173 ( Hwy 200-S & Nesbit Rd)
