Billy Joe Merritt's Obituary
Billy Joe Merritt of Albemarle passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in CHS-Stanly. His funeral will be graveside Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:30 AM in Fairview Memorial Park with Chaplain Misty McAdden officiating.
Born January 13, 1943 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Grover Dolan Merritt and Myrtle Honbarrier Merritt. He was a former trainer and installer in the textile industry. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Merritt is survived by a son Joseph Mashburn of Charlotte, brother Eddie Merritt of Albemarle, sister Faye Merritt of Albemarle, 2 grandchildren and a number of cousins and other relatives.
