Billy Gay's Obituary
Mr. Billy Gay, age 58, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Carolinas Healthcare System-Union in Monroe, NC.
Graveside funeral services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the Gay Family Cemetery on Wolf Pond Road in Monroe, officiated by Reverend Tony Mangum.
Mr. Gay was born on August 28, 1959, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late Walter Edward Gay, Jr. and the late Bessie Mangum Gay. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his sister Dianne Gay.
Survivors include his wife Anne Gay of Monroe, NC; his stepdaughters Melissa Miller of Pageland, SC and Laura Miller of Charlotte, NC; his grandson, Christian Popowicz of Pageland, SC; his family friend, Brandon Laney of Monroe, NC; his three aunts, Peggy M. Davis of Monroe, NC, Chicken M. McManus of Monroe, NC and Hazeline G. Davis of Monroe, NC; and his uncle Tommy Mangum of Wingate, NC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night, October 25, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
