Mr. Billie Guy Griffin, age 84 of Cary, NC passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in the Transition Life Care Center, Raleigh, NC.?? His graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle, NC with the Rev. Keith Walters officiating.
Mr. Griffin was born September 7, 1932 in Stanly County, NC to the late Harvey Wilson Griffin and Edna Smoot Morris Griffin and was a retired Photo Lab Technician with IBM.? He was involved with the production of the first bar code.
Mr. Griffin was a member of the United Church of Hanks Chapel in Pittsboro, NC. He was a avid fisherman, hunter and loved to restore old cars and signage.
He is survived by his children.
