Billie Wayne Efird's Obituary
Billie Wayne Efird Sr., 83, of Albemarle passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 in Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center. His funeral will be 2 PM Thursday, January 23, 2020 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hudson and Rev. Rufus Fulcher officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born July 25, 1936 in Stanly
County, NC he was the son of the late Carl Grant Efird and Annie Surratt Efird.
He was a retired finisher with Rusco and formerly worked with Stanly Fixtures.
He attended Full Gospel Mission Church. He loved the Lord and loved serving the
Lord.
Mr. Efird is survived by his
wife of 63 years, Janie Whitley Efird of the home. Other survivors include four
sons Steven Efird and wife Laurie of Albemarle, Darrell Efird and wife Carman
of Lancaster, SC, Glenn Efird and wife Mary of Albemarle, Billie Efird Jr. and
wife Trinity of Albemarle, three sisters Carol Kimrey of Albemarle, Peggy
Harris of Eden, and Patricia Harris of Albemarle, 11 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
