Biard Stephen "Steve" Osborne's Obituary
Biard Stephen “Steve” Osborne also known by his family as “Poppy”, 79, of Locust, NC, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 in the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. His funeral service will be 3pm Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Locust First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Barbee and Dr. Tommy Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2:30pm prior to the service at the church.
He was born September 13, 1944 in New Port News, VA to the late Biard “Bud” Osborne and Julia Elizabeth Smith Osborne. Steve was in the last graduating class of Stanfield High School in 1963. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the United States Army Reserves, he also retired from the former Phillip Morris of Concord, NC. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed laughing, singing jingles, watching western movies and Bob Ross painting.
Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois Lorene Huneycutt Osborne. He is also survived by a son Brian Osborne (Shelley) of Locust; a daughter, Crystal Barbee (Stan) of Stanfield, NC and a granddaughter, Ragen Barbee of Stanfield, NC.
