Beverly "Tootie" Barbee Hatley's Obituary
Wednesday, October 4, 2023, Beverly “Tootie” Barbee Hatley peacefully passed away at Bethany Woods Skilled Nursing Facility.
Ms. Hatley was born February 23, 1950 in Stanly County to the late Rev. Wade Hampton Barbee and the late Elsie Marie Almond Barbee. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dickey” Martin Hatley; sisters, Gaynell Love, Katie Barbee and Shirley Love Hatley; Nieces, Donna Love Hobbs and Sherry Love Bowers.
Ms. Hatley is survived by her brother, Darrell Barbee; her niece, Michele Solesbee and her beloved nephew-in-law, Ronnie Hobbs; five great nieces and nephews and seven great-great-nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Ms. Hatley will be remembered most as being the loving and caring “Aunt Tootie”. She enjoyed spending time with her family and riding motorcycles with her husband and friends.
Honoring Ms. Hatley’s wishes, there will be no formal services held. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to West Stanly Christian Ministries in Beverly’s name.
