Betty Fowler Rape's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Moore Fowler Rape, age 88, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Betty will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Reverend Phil McLean. Interment will follow in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2820 New Town Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019, prior to the funeral ceremony at Davis Funeral Service.
Mrs. Rape was born on January 16, 1931, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Roy Moore and Daisy Tyson Moore. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sheriff Frank Fowler and Earl Rape; a son, Ronald L. Fowler; step daughter Sherry Holloway; three brothers, Archie Moore, Henry Moore and Tyson Moore; and a sister, Edith Gilliam. Mrs. Rape was an administrative assistant at Ken's Tire Service for many years.
Survivors include a son, Eric N. Fowler and Wanda Stilwell of Monroe; a daughter, Melissa Hill and Charles Hill of Monroe; a step son, Wayne Rape and Connie Rape of Monroe; three brothers, Don Moore and Jean Moore of Monroe, Wade Moore of Monroe and Loflin Moore of Nashville, TN; a sister, Alda Stover of Murrells Inlet, SC. There are 4 grandchildren, Tyler Hill, Seth Hill and Ashton Crates, and Elizabeth Fowler Hodges and 7 step grandchildren, Austin Rape, Jared Rape, Caleb Rape, Anna Rape, Cason Rape, Dan Holloway, and Jess Holloway.
The family would like to thank Tara Johnson and Wanda Stilwell for all their love and dedication to Mrs. Rape.
