Betty Greene's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Starnes Greene, age 78, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday evening, June 14, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Betty Starnes Greene will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Prospect United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Steve Phillippi.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Greene was born on October 4, 1934, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Guy Carlile Starnes and Lillian Mangum Starnes.
She was a retired secretary with Union County Agriculture Extention.
Survivors include a brother, Marion Claude Starnes and wife Sylvia Starnes of Monroe; three nephews, Claude Starnes Jr. and wife Sandy Starnes of Monroe, Randy Starnes of Monroe and Patrick Starnes of Monroe; and a niece, Laura Long of Monroe.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday night, June 17,2013, at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 East Franklin Street.
