Betty Whitley Dry's Obituary
Betty Whitley Dry, 80, of Locust passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in her home. Her funeral service will be graveside at 11 AM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Dry officiating. The family will greet friends in the cemetery following the graveside service.
Born April 29, 1943 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Reather Rayvon Whitley and Nellie Hinson Whitley. She was a member of Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was a caregiver for her mother for over 20 years and she loved to take care of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Dry is survived by her husband Glenn Dry of the home, two sons Malcolm Dry of Albemarle and Gene Dry of Albemarle, sister Doris Shaver of Albemarle, and three grandchildren Leighton Dry, Hailey Dry, and Alexis Dry. She was preceded in death by a grandson Logan Dry.
