Betty Davis Bowlin's Obituary
Betty Jane Davis Bowlin, 93, of Monroe passed away on December 18, 2024 in Brookdale Monroe Square. Her funeral service will be 11 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Myers. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 am until 10:45 AM prior to the hour of the service.
Born July 27, 1931 in Union County, NC she was the daughter of the late Walter DeClyde Davis and Nellie Presson Davis. She was retired as a secretary in the insurance industry and also worked as an insurance agent. Mrs. Bowlin loved crafting, especially needlepoint, and she also enjoyed reading and her cats.
Mrs. Bowlin is survived by her husband Richard Hope “Nick” Bowlin. Other survivors include brother Ray Davis (Joyce) of Mount Gilead, sisters-in-law Shirley Davis and Hazeline Davis both of Monroe and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 2528 Stack Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
