Betty Addison's Obituary
Betty Addison, 89, of Richfield passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in CHS-Stanly in Albemarle.? Her funeral service will be 10 AM Friday, July 21 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Baldwin officiating.? Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born August, 9, 1927 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edith Granberg Horvath.? She was a retired office clerk in the insurance business.? A member of Harvest Church, she loved putting puzzles together and loved animals, especially her two dogs Ginger and Annie.
Mrs. Addison was preceded in death by her first husband George Everette Echelberger and second husband John Henry Addison. Survivors include sons George Everette Echelberger III of Arizona, Arthur Richard Echelberger of FL, Timothy Edward Addison of FL and James Addison of FL, and daughter Carol Silk and husband Keith of Richfield, 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.? A son Michael William Echelberger and daughter Eleanor Winger preceded her in death.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Stanly County Humane Society, 2049 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001 or to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels Street, Suite 109, Raleigh, NC 27605.
