Barbara Helms Williams' Obituary
Barbara Loraine Helms Williams, 81, of Winnabow, NC, passed away
on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in
Bolivia, NC. Her funeral service will be
a 1 PM graveside service on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Greenlawn Memorial
Park in Wilmington with Rev. Wanda Lancaster officiating. The family will greet friends following the
graveside service.
Born September 16, 1937 in Union County, NC, she was the daughter
of the late Julian Brice Helms Sr. and Ruby Nance Helms. She worked as a secretary in the public schools
in NC and SC and was a homemaker. She
was of the Baptist Faith.
Barbara is survived by two sons Robert Thomas Williams Jr.
of Southport, NC and Greg Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC and a daughter Debbie
Dubose of Aynor, SC, brothers Billy Helms of Wilmington and Jerry Helms of Oak
Island and sisters Jean Aldridge of Albemarle, and Becky Thompson of Lumberton,
grandchildren Melissa Johnson, Samantha Williams, Zoe Williams, and Zane
Williams and great grandchildren Wynn Johnson and Lauren and Molly Williams.
A daughter Melissa Ann Williams preceded her in death in
1972.
