Barbara Lawing McConnell's Obituary
Barbara Lawing McConnell passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Pruitt Health, Harrisburg. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Monty Clark officiating. The family will greet friends at the church following the service.
Born November 2, 1934 in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bryan Lawing and Edna Lee Shull Lawing. She retired from a career in Banking. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She grew up in Mount Holly, lived in Mooresville, and later moved to Cabarrus County.
Mrs. McConnell is survived by her son Bryan McConnell and wife Jenny of Mt. Pleasant, a brother Donald Lawing of Texas, and grandson Carter McConnell as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 24361 South Business 52, Albemarle, NC 28001.
