Barbara Lambert Lowder's Obituary
Barbara Jean Lambert Lowder, 81, of Albemarle, passed away Monday November 12, 2018 at her home. Her funeral service will be 11 Am Thursday November 15, 2018 at Poplin Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Barbara was born November 9, 1937 in Cabarrus County, NC and was the daughter of the late Edgar Lambert and Lucretia Whitley Lambert. Mrs. Lowder was a homemaker and a former Receptionist with B and L Trucking. She also worked for Efird Gas Company. Barbara was a member of Poplin Grove Baptist Church and she loved to crochet.
Mrs. Lowder was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hokes Lowder. Survivors include three daughters Connie Hudson and husband Ronald, Cindy Russell and husband Kevin and Sandy Page and husband Charles all of Albemarle, NC; sister Louise L. Wagner and husband Rev. Donald Wagner of China Grove, NC; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Barbara was also preceded in death by a daughter Gloria L. Smith and a great-granddaughter.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Stanly and Uwharrie, 920 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
