Barbara Annette Miller Jones, 72, of New London passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 in Atrium Health Stanly. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle. Burial will follow later in DeFuniak Springs, FL.
Born December 18, 1948 in Valparaiso, FL, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Jackson Miller and Louana Weeks Miller. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband Douglas A. Jones of the home, 3 children: Laura ?Amy? Jones of Albemarle, Kathy Phillips and husband Nelson of New London, NC, and Kevin Jones and wife Ashley of Camden, SC, 3 sisters: Wanda Wilkerson of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Mary Jane Miller of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and Sandra Melton of Wetumpka, AL, 4 grandchildren: Kirk Schofield and wife Hailey, Nikki Jones, Joshua Phillips, and Kelsey Phillips and 2 great-grandchildren: Addie and Mylee Schofield.
