Anne Mae Gibson's Obituary
Mrs. Anne Mae Alexander Gibson, age 92, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at the home of her grandson in Monroe.
Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 14, 2014, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ken Parsons. Interment will be at 1:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
Mrs. Gibson was born on March 11, 1922, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, a daughter of the Taylor Alexander and Mary Joy Alexander. She was a retired secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Gibson and a grandson, Chad Gibson.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Gibson and wife, Terry, of Waxhaw; two brothers, Bob Alexander of Charlotte, Sid Alexander of Midland; one sister, Mildred Aldred of Charlotte; one grandson, Todd Gibson and wife, Kay, of Monroe; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Gibson and Gracie Gibson, both of Monroe; three step-grandchildren, Angie Hunt of Sherrills Ford, Shannon Painter and Nick Painter and wife, Kara, all of Monroe.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
