Anita Ledbetter Poplin's Obituary
Anita Ledbetter Poplin, 88, of Albemarle passed away
Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in CHS-Stanly.
Her funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the Stanly
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Hatley officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of
Memory. The family will receive friends
at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to
the hour of the service.
Born October 17, 1930 in Stanly County, NC, she was the
daughter of the late Richard Ledbetter and Ora Mae Hathcock Ledbetter. She retired from banking after 33 years of
work as a bank teller. She worked with
First National Bank, First Union Bank, Wachovia and Wells Fargo. She was a member of West Albemarle Baptist
Church. She was very active in the life
of West Albemarle Baptist Church.
Mrs. Poplin was preceded in death by her husband Dolan Lentz
Poplin on August 1, 1997. She is
survived by her son Reggie Poplin and wife Allison of Albemarle, grandchildren
Whitney Poplin of Indian Trail and Casey Maner and husband Mark of Albemarle,
and great-grandchildren Madison and Mason Maner.
The family would like to thank Danny and Linda Rogers and
Reggie Price; excellent neighbors who assisted Mrs. Poplin with activities
around her house when she was unable to do so.
Memorials may be made to West Albemarle Baptist Church.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is entrusted
with arrangements.
