Angela Dawn Gainey's Obituary
Angela “Dawn” Gainey,60, of New London, passed away on January 22, 2025, at her home. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27th, in the Stanly Funeral Home Locust Chapel. The funeral service will follow at noon. Officiated by Jeff Whitecotton. Burial will follow the service at Barbee’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Dawn was born to John and Eula Walker on December 31, 1964. She graduated from West Stanly High School in 1983. Dawn worked as a cashier at the Walmart Pharmacy in Albemarle. Dawn enjoyed spending quality time with her dog Dolly. She enjoyed hanging out and going to dinner with her friends. She loved taking trips to the beach. Spending time with her granddaughters and seeing pictures and videos of them playing the sports they loved was important to her. Dawn loved anything that was the color purple. She loved to collect pigs ranging from figurines to anything pigs. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Dawn loved shopping for paparazzi Jewelry and sharing it with her friends and family. She is predeceased by her father John C. Walker and mother Eula Maxine Walker. She is survived by her son, Ryan (Misti) Gainey, granddaughters Raygan and Paislee Gainey, sister Tara Walker (Curtis Thomas), and nephew Devin Thomas.
