Amanda Faye Helms' Obituary
Amanda Faye Helms, 91 of West Columbia, S.C. passed away August 4, 2014. Faye was born March 16, 1923 in Union County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Noah Alexander Helms and Annie Ritch Helms. She was married to Roy Samuel Helms until his death in 1971.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings; Vance, Eva, Clara V, Kathryn, G.W., Joy and Darrell Bennet. She is survived by her two sisters Mary Ellen (Cecil) and Carol; her children Craig (Brenda), Lynette Leonard (J.P.), Maurice (Karene), Janet Arnell, Debbie Lane (Buddy deceased), Ranger (Melinda), step-daughter Margaret Morris (Dr. William Morris); her grandchildren Carla, Clint, Chass, Lisa, Lois Ann, Beth, Travis, Derek and Cynthia (Mary Faye deceased); nineteen great-grandchildren (one deceased); four great-great grandchildren (one deceased); and great friends Margaret and Gene Elders.
Faye loved her yard work, her dogs, enjoyed making crewels for all of her children and grandchildren. In her later years of life, she found great joy spending time with the sunshine of her life, Cynthia.
Visitation with the family will be at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112 Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Services to follow at 11:00 A.M., Burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Park at 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC
