Alva McLester Smith's Obituary
Alva Patricia (Patsy) McLester Smith, 69, of Albemarle,
passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019 at Atrium Health Northeast, Concord, NC. Her
funeral service will be 2 Pm Sunday May 5, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral and
Cremation Care Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem United
Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 Pm until
1:30 Pm prior to the service.
Patsy was born June 12, 1949 in Cabarrus County, NC and was
the daughter of the late Croson William McLester and Mary Elizabeth Lowder
McLester. She was a graduate of Albemarle Senior High School and was a Switchboard
operator at Atrium Health Stanly.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Roger Smith
in 2004. She is survived by a sister Pam M. Sharp of Clearwater, FL. Patsy was
also preceded in death by a brother Billy McLester and a sister Elizabeth M.
Honeycutt.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Stanly
County Humane Society, 2049 Badin Road, NC 28001.
