Alma Smith Cotton's Obituary
Alma Smith Cotton, 93, formerly of Albemarle, passed away
Sunday, May 5, 2019 at home in Lexington.
Her funeral service will Wednesday at 11 AM in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Delane Burris officiating.
Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10 until
10:45 prior to the service.
Born January 12, 1926 in Davidson County, NC she was the
daughter of the late Earl Smith and Erma Vestal Lanning Smith. She was a longtime, active member of Fairview
Baptist Church and supported Grace Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper with Standard Auto
Parts.
She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Bolton and husband
David of Albemarle and Mary Ann Cotton of Lexington, 2 grandchildren Teresa
Neely and husband Dwayne and Jonathan Bolton and wife Jessica, 3
great-grandchildren Dylan and Katie Neely and Avery Bolton.
Memorials may be made to Davidson Hospice or to Grace
Baptist Church.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care is entrusted with
