Albert Raymond Rowan's Obituary
Albert Raymond Rowan, 84, of Albemarle passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Atrium Health Cabarrus. His funeral service will be 3 PM on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the East Albemarle Church of God with Rev. Gerald Gibson and Rev. Harry Harward officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 prior to the hour of the service.
Born October 3, 1936 in Sparks, Georgia, he was the son of the late Albert A. Rowan and Minnie Taylor Rowan. He was a member of East Albemarle Church of God and was a retired Pentecostal Minister.
Mr. Rowan was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Mae Crews Rowan. Survivors include children Ann Coley (Toby) of Albemarle, David Rowan (Linda) of Lakeland, FL, Debbi Lisk of Albemarle, Johnny Rowan (Dale) of Lakeland, FL, four sisters Carolyn Tedrow of Lakeland, FL, Beverly Senn of Midland City, Alabama, Mary Thompson of Young Harris, Georgia, and Jean Willis of Lakeland, FL, 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Three sisters and two brother preceded him in death Linda Dale Rowan, Letha Mae Deal, and Margaret Taylor, and Wendell Rowan and Ronnie Rowan.
