Albert Calvin Hersey's Obituary
Mr. Albert Calvin Hersey, age 54, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Novant Health Care-Matthews.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hersey will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Marshville United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Cindy Lunsford and Reverend Roy Barbee.
Mr. Hersey was born on November 23, 1959, in Jacksonville , Florida, a son of the late James C. Hersey and Gladys Ruby Mae Greer Hersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters Hazel Miller, Renee Stutts, and Jeanette Hersey.
He was a truck driver for Edwards Wood Products of Marshville.
He was also an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca Jane Hersey of the home, two daughters Sarah Hersey of Burnsville, NC, and Megan Andino of Wingate; four brothers James Hersey, Jr. of Nicholls, GA., Ronnie Hersey of Cherryville, NC. , Kenneth Hersey, Sr. of Douglas, GA. , and Michael Hersey of Lowell, NC; two sisters Janice Music of Nicholls, GA. , Latrelle Pate of Douglas, GA. ,and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Marshville United Methodist Church, 310 Ross Street, prior to the memorial service.
Davis Funeral Home of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Hersey.
