Albert Connon Barfield Jr.'s Obituary
Albert Connon Barfield Jr., 72, of Albemarle, passed away on April 20, 2025. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born on June 26, 1952, in Albemarle, NC, Albert was the son of the late Albert Connon Barfield Sr. and Thellis Tucker Barfield. He retired from EJ Snyder after a long and dedicated career.
Albert had a deep love for travel and adventure—he was affectionately known as the “road trip king.” In his younger years, he was an avid tennis player and a dedicated runner, famously running five miles every day. He was also a devoted supporter of Albemarle High School football.
He is survived by his sons, James Barfield (Brandy) and Michael Barfield, both of Albemarle; his brother, Roger Barfield (Sarah) of New London; and five beloved grandchildren: Jamie, Emma, William, Emily, and Dylan Barfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
