Adam Eugene Earnhardt Jr.'s Obituary
Adam Eugene Earnhardt, Jr., 93, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. His memorial service will be 11am Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Sunset Road Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC with Rev. Dr. Randy Wadford officiating. A burial will be 4pm in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends in the cemetery following the burial.
Mr. Earnhardt was born March 13, 1930 in Stanly County, NC, to the late Adam Eugene Earnhardt and Bessie Cagle Earnhardt. He was a 1949 graduate of Albemarle High School. Gene formerly worked as an insurance salesman, was a real estate broker. Mr. Earnhardt attended Sunset Road Baptist Church, where he was a member of Adult 4 Sunday School Class. He knew Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Gene loved Carolina Basketball, Washington Redskins, and the Alanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Louise Burgess Earnhardt in 2007. He is survived by a son, Gene Earnhardt, III and wife Jane of Dallas, NC; a daughter, Deatra Earnhardt Johnson and husband Earl of Burlington, NC; four grandchildren, Mike Johnson (Lisa) of Gibsonville, NC, Ginger Bruce (Michael) of Gastonia, NC, Gina Belcher (Chad) of Stanley, NC and Jake Earnhardt of Charlotte, NC and six great-grandchildren, Katie Bruce, Sarah Bruce, Brenna Belcher, Tucker Belcher, RJ Earnhardt and Chase Earnhardt. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Pauline, Bill, Vergie, Mabel and Vivian.
